Kudos to ex-Ky. arts chief
I had the pleasure of working for and retiring from the Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency in the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet.
I am not shocked by the resignation of Lori Meadows, the director, as this type of departure is somewhat expected for non-merit employees when a new administration comes in.
I do want to say that Meadows, like most of our state employees, was dedicated and hard-working, and, during my tenure there, worked right along with others, doing whatever it took to get the job done.
Kentucky, along with its arts-and-craft traditions, can be proud of its art programing that is admired throughout the country. I thank all Kentucky employees who keep our government going. There are a lot of them who work hard and give a good face to Kentucky. Meadows was one of them.
