Movement isn’t populist
Newspapers are either outright labeling what is happening as a “populist” movement or even a worldwide democracy movement. This bothers me and others who think of themselves as populists, yet have no sympathy with what’s happening.
Could newspapers call it what it is — illiberalism, faux-populism or maybe some better term?
There is a real democracy movement out there. Could we hear more about that?
