Andrew Jackson no role model

It’s not surprise that President Donald Trump failed to get the chronology right regarding Andrew Jackson and the Civil War.

That Trump and his staff would set up Jackson as a role model is horrifying. As a proud “Indian fighter,” he and his soldiers exterminated thousands among the so-called Civilized Tribes of the South, then as president, forcefully removed those who remained and sent them on the infamous Trail of Tears.

We should all be outraged.
