Lower taxes help economy

Most Americans realize running deficits and increasing our debt is dangerous government policy. They know they must live within their means, and so should government.

Soon we will debate over tax cuts and some will say the cuts must be “paid for” by spending cuts or other tax increases.

Can we agree that I spend my money more wisely than you or government would spend my money? When government spends money, the decisions are being made by politicians and bureaucrats spending other people’s money.

When government reduces taxes, that money stays with businesses and individuals who worked for it and can use it in ways that most benefit them. This will likely cause our economy to grow and produce more tax revenue. Regardless, it is the right, moral thing to do and if “pay fors” are considered, the only ones included should be spending cuts. Tax increases in other areas should be off the table.
