Divided we fall

When extremism prevails in one camp, it encourages it in the other. We are not building unity because we are building division. Unity comes from respecting, talking, listening and compromising. Division comes from threats, insults, lies and obstruction.

The seeding of fear, hate and division to satiate greed will only lead ultimately to the starvation and death of humanity, where all the material wealth will be worthless and precious blood spoils rancid in the streets.

When one presses another against a place of no retreat, when one presses another from their freedom, from their equality, from the obtainment of justice, the result will always be violence. It is violence to put anyone in that position.

We live in a time of extremes and the extremes are ruling our destiny and our destiny does not bode well. There is nothing great occurring or arising when all about us is fear and chaos. This comes from total failure of leadership.

In the end, we either allow the extremes to end us or we will end the extremes. I hope we are wiser than all that is occurring now; or gain wisdom enough to bring back humanity from the abyss is marching toward.
