Congress on its own
On a regular basis, Congress gets to decide questions of gun control. In weighing what is more important, collateral damage or National Rifle Association votes, the NRA wins every time.
Therefore, in the wake of the baseball field shooting, I will not involve myself in the hypocritical tut-tutting as Congress tries to show us it has an actual heart when one of their own gets shot.
I will instead care more for cab drivers, who have a far more dangerous job, get paid far less, have no prestige, die in far greater numbers and are not in a position to get guns off the streets. Congress can take care of its own. Or not.
