Tell truth on shootings
The May 24 front-page article about shootings in Lexington is overdue.
About three years ago, the paper published a front-page map showing the locations of all the shootings in Lexington that year. Twenty-six out of 28 were north of Main Street.
If you would check on shootings for the past 10 years, you would find an undeniable pattern. The astounding result would show a high rate of black-on-black killings. It is similar to the situation in other cities across the country.
Due to political correctness, police are not able to prevent these sad events, but do a fair job of solving them. The killing goes on and increases. This keeps the black community from progressing and keeps its residents in fear.
The liberal white community has nothing to say about the situation as long as it does not come to their areas.
Prayer vigils, marches and picnics with the cops are useless and laughable.
Lexington’s north end is getting known as little Chicago. Lexingtonians are not saying much about this problem, but they are watching. The paper, radio stations and TV stations have been hiding from this for years.
