Former NRA member speaks

Regarding the article on the absurd, repugnant and sickening defense proposed by two men accused of killing a University of Kentucky student: They want to avoid the death penalty because their brains aren’t fully developed and they can’t think straight? Wow.

If they succeed, I demand that this be considered by the seven esteemed state senators who sponsored a bill in the past legislative session that would have allowed 18-year-olds to carry a concealed firearm without any training or permit. No one asked for this except the NRA. These legislators don’t represent the NRA; they represent various districts in Kentucky.

From Frankfort to Washington, our so-called representatives have gone rogue, following their own personal agendas and pocketbooks. To quote the great American Earl Pitts, “Wake up, America.”

Sign me a former NRA member.
