Sen. Mitch McConnell is making the worst mistake that any politician can make.
He has abandoned the Kentuckians who elected him in favor of his conservative allies in Washington, D.C.
When push came to shove, McConnell decided that it was more important to protect his political interests than to protect the nearly half-million Kentuckians who receive health care benefits through the Affordable Care Act. He is willing to trade their futures for his own political victory.
Kentucky needs a senator who will fight for Kentuckians. McConnell may have been that once, but not anymore.
Kentuckians deserve better than another Washington insider who has forgotten who he is supposed to be fighting for.
