Applause for caregivers

In 1982, the first Griswold Home Care office opened, fulfilling founder Jean Griswold’s goal of providing care that could keep seniors, the infirm and those recovering from injury in the place they love most: their homes.

In the 35 years since, Griswold Home Care’s thousands of caregivers, including the valued caregivers of the South Lexington/Richmond office, have seen to the daily needs and comfort of hundreds of thousands of clients across the country.

As our parent company marks its 35th anniversary, I’d like to give kudos to all caregivers, professional and otherwise, who selflessly endeavor to improve the lives of our elders, making them feel connected, independent and, above all, dignified.

Sadly, Griswold passed away earlier this year at age 86, but I see her vision in action in South Lexington and Richmond every day.

Frank Van Hoeve

Director, Griswold Home Care of South Lexington/Richmond
