Call McConnell about health care

Sen. Mitch McConnell plans to push the Senate health care bill onto the floor, bypassing committee and public hearings.

Under the bill, federal funding of the Medicaid expansion (which has helped 443,300 Kentuckians) would be capped and phased out by 2023. Insurance companies are the big winners as they can charge older people five times what they charge younger people.

What is happening to our democracy when a bill that accounts for 17 percent of our economy is written in secret, with no input from women or Democrats and with no public hearing?

McConnell is leading this attack on the health care of the people of his own state. Call his office (502-582-6304) today and voice your concern over this secret bill. Call Sen. Rand Paul’s office (270-782-8303) and urge him to vote no on this secret bill.
