Escaping the NCAA
Can Rick Pitino and the University of Louisville leave the NCAA? I’m just curious. Let’s say the appeal fails. Can a school such as Louisville go down into the NAIA and not have the NCAA rule it? I know Pitino doesn’t see it as most do, but college sports are going to destroy the college system in time; too much greed is involved. Maybe Pitino could save it by being the spark that ignites the barrel of gasoline called the NCAA?
Good luck with the appeal.
I think the University of Kentucky would still play U of L if it were in the NAIA, at least in football and before hitting the real schedule in basketball. The payout probably wouldn’t be quite as big, but there’d be no splitting the dollars with the NCAA.
