Don’t move statues to Veterans Park

Veterans Park honors veterans of the United States of America, not veterans of the Confederate States of America.

I, a veteran of the USA, would be sorely aggrieved to see the Morgan and Breckinridge statues put into the park. Furthermore, the park is a community youth center, where we have watched our grandchildren play ball, learn good sportsmanship and respect for others, regardless of color.

It is a place that should not be invaded by partisanship. Surely, there is some other place for the statues, say Lexington Cemetery?
