Just go to single-payer

Obamacare is the bastard progeny produced by Democrats attempting to appease Republicans by allowing their donors (insurance companies, pharmaceuticals, etc.) to profit from health care. Democrats actually prefer a single-payer plan, a type adopted by almost every advanced country in the world.

Under a single-payer plan, the government will pay for all its citizens health care needs from the taxes it receives. No health care insurance premiums, co-pays or deductibles. Everyone has 100 percent coverage. No one is denied health care for any reason, including pre-existing conditions. It reeks of socialism.

Republicans quake at any hint of socialism, in their minds the first step toward communism, the threat of which is the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American public. Communism will not survive unless forced on the people by a totalitarian government.

The single-payer system will lower health care costs by eliminating insurance company profit; allowing the government to negotiate lower costs for services, medical devices and drugs; stressing preventive medicine; and tackling childhood diseases.

It’s way past time for narrow-minded Republicans to stop worrying about non-existent threats like socialism and communism, and pay attention to the actual problems, such as poor health care, threatening our way of life.
