Danger in ‘fake news’ mantra

President Donald Trump has been calling the news fake for months. Now we have a major disaster with Hurricane Harvey. How many of his supporters failed to heed the warnings regarding the hurricane because they believe Trump that the news is fake? He has said many times not to believe the news media.

Hopefully, Trump will realize that his fake news charges are irresponsible and dangerous, perhaps contributing to the deaths of many people. Unfortunately, Trump will likely keep saying the news is fake. He should be held directly responsible for any deaths that occur because people did not evacuate.
