Disrespect of president is vulgar
Each day as I drive to work, I pass a house with a sign in the window that says, “Donald Trump is a vulgar pig.” I cannot help but think that this sign says more about the person who placed it there than about Trump.
What it says is this person is crass and disrespectful. Trump is our duly elected president and that awards him a degree of respect, if not for him, then for the office of the presidency. How is this display productive? What satisfaction is received from its placement?
I would never show such blatant disrespect for the president of our country because I honor the office and the system that placed him there. I was not a supporter of past administrations, but I would never dishonor a sitting president. This is an example of how low we have become as a society.
If you do not like the current president, go to the voting booth in 2020 and vote him out. Try putting some effort into the campaigns of the people you approve of rather than placing a vile sign in your window. Or perhaps this would prove too difficult for you?
