What’s Bevin’s angle?

So Gov. Matt Bevin fully supports Donald Trump in somewhat absolving the racist white supremacist and the Neo-Nazis for the recent carnage in Virginia? Such a position is repugnant and morally bankrupt. What’s Bevin trying to do: Have Trump appoint him to an undemanding job like the governor of Kansas is getting so that Bevin can avoid having to tackle the harsh realities of this job as Kentucky governor?
