Not voting is vulgar, too

The writer of a Sept. 10 letter about vulgarity against President Donald Trump said she didn’t like the past administration. Just what did he do that that was so wrong? Improve the economy? Make it easier for Americans to get insured? Sounds just awful!

The writer said she stood by the past administration even though she disagreed with him. She may have proven that she is bigger than the Republicans who showed little to no respect for the past administration while supporters sat idly by. Disrespect is vulgar. I thought so when Sen. Mitch McConnell said to the past administration that the Republicans would make sure he would be a one-term president.

The writer is right: Way too many people did not show up at the polls. We need to change that. But we also need an end to the Republican voter who votes, then falls into four years of amnesia. I suspect the people with the “Trump is a vulgar pig!” sign actually are voters. And they have every right to be angry. Just like the writer has every right to gasp and clutch her pearls.
