Sad pattern of fraud

An Aug. 18 article stated that the Kentucky Supreme Court refused to hear Lexington’s appeal of a Court of Appeals ruling that the city owed $16 million to $25 million that it had not paid to the police retirement fund.

The article also said that Lexington firefighters won $17.5 million in a similar lawsuit.

The police and firefighters lost their original lawsuits in Fayette Circuit Court. The same thing happened to a suit that originated during the Scotty Baesler administration and was won on appeal. This shows a pattern of fraudulent behavior by the Lexington government and Fayette County courts.

Any young person applying for a position in the police or fire departments should realize that they most likely will be treated no better. Shameful behavior.
