Bevin set in stone on statues

Our governor is mistaken. Erecting statues to enemies of the United States Constitution only allows people to pretend that treason is somehow OK.

John Hunt Morgan was a radical Christian terrorist and a traitor. Had such things existed in his day, he would have been elated to learn that a jetliner crashed into the Pentagon.

Patriotism is not about tradition. Waving a Confederate battle flag is traditional, but so are wife-beating, racism, drunkenness, child abuse and lynching.

Kentuckians should pray for the soul of John Hunt Morgan, but not worship him.
