Eblen panders on statues

After reading Tom Eblen’s “solution” for the local epicenter of evil (two Confederate monuments), I chuckled again. The pure definition of pandering is in full display.

Let’s call Eblen out: these are not symbols of white supremacy, nor were they paid much attention, until Mayor Jim Gray’s press conference. They are simply a tribute to local Southern soldiers.

Neither I nor any other student of history glorifies or reveres these men. We simply see a horrible precedent in removing things that offend a small liberal cabal based on their sense of “fairness.” Add to, but do not remove.
