Eblen raves rather than promotes

I read your newspaper daily and I must tell you that I am tired of Tom Eblen’s liberal ravings that you seem to think constitute journalism. Most of his articles are unabashedly unsupportive of our current president and, frankly, are out-of-touch with the average Lexingtonian.

His most recent column about Camp Nelson is an example of this. At the top of the article, where he could have highlighted the fact that Camp Nelson is one of only two Civil War sites that is preserved as it was during the war, and therefore must be protected, he instead chose to attack the president and his cabinet.

I recently attended the Camp Nelson Civil War Days event, and I have donated money to Camp Nelson. What has Eblen done to help preserve this Bluegrass treasure? The Herald-Leader should use its press to promote and protect Kentucky’s heritage instead of politicizing it needlessly. Be part of the solution. Stop being part of the problem.
