Letter writer getting involved early

I am writing to thank Zachary Depa, age 13, for his thoughtful Oct. 11 letter on immigration. Hopefully, it will encourage more young people to participate in rational public discourse. Lord knows they couldn’t do any worse than some of the adults we suffer through these days on these pages.
