Use lottery for pensions

Back in the day, I wrote a letter published in your newspaper that tried to justify having the lottery in Kentucky. In that letter, I mentioned that it could help education and retirements. I think the lottery can and should help bail out the Kentucky Teachers Retirement System, regardless of Gov. Matt Bevin’s attempt to destroy KTRS. We cannot afford to have a dictator governorship destroy the future of our children and force elderly retired teachers to have to live on food stamps. The retired teachers have done their jobs, and now they must be rewarded with the dependable retirement that they earned.
