Stop doing nothing in response to gun violence

After multiple mass shootings with extreme carnage, the politicians say it is not the right time to address gun control. We hear their platitudes that the victims are “in their thoughts and prayers.” Words without action are meaningless. Edmund Burke’s quote is extremely apropos: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
