Good reading

I am writing to thank you for the recent editorial of Sunday, Nov. 5, about resolving the state’s crises on taxes and pensions. I also greatly appreciate the Veterans Day column on healing wars’ invisible wounds by Peter Berres. Both pieces seemed fair and balanced, and the sad report of “Doc” Topmiller’s death is another powerful reminder of the toll of war and the need for the public to be mindful of it.
