Keep the internet open

File art

Next month, the Federal Communications Commission plans to hold a vote to kill net neutrality, again. Even though its many forms have been defeated in the past, thanks to public outcry, the FCC will try once more. And both of Kentucky's senators will vote in favor of killing net neutrality, ignoring the welfare and wishes of their constituents.

Net neutrality is the cornerstone of innovation, free speech and democracy on the internet. Control over the internet should remain in the hands of the people who use it every day. The ability to share information without impediment is critical to the progression of technology, science, small business and culture.

Sens. Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul need to stand up to the corporations and stand with the public by protecting net neutrality once and for all.
