Support Kate’s Law

As an American, a woman and an attorney, I am devastated by the verdict in the Jose Ines Garcia Zarate trial. This is a clear and unacceptable failure of our justice system. The only silver lining remains the June 2017 passage of Kate’s Law by the U.S. House of Representatives. Kate’s Law increases the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States and are caught, but the Senate has yet to pass it. I urge you to contact your U.S. senators and express your support for the bill. We cannot allow another preventable tragedy. I will continue to pray for Kate Steinle’s family.
