Evangelizing with fear, bullying
I knew it. I predicted it.
I just read about that poor 10-year-old Powell County boy being bullied and harassed by so-called Christian classmates. There is nothing Christian about the way they are treating him. A teacher at the school uses her class instruction time to hold Bible study and quoted a Bible verse that said something about non-believers being eaten by bears. Isn’t that the way Christians have been evangelizing for years — using fear to get people to go to church, or burn in hell?
The school involved has a Bible get-together every day after breakfast. The young boy’s sister participates because she doesn’t want to get harassed like her brother. It sounds like the faculty of Stanton Elementary is trying to indoctrinate — force — atheist students into converting, just like people did in the time when you were given the choice to convert to Christianity or die. They’re no different from ISIS.
