Taxing proletariat

How do you create and maintain a large, permanent underclass and ensure they continue to struggle? Sen. Mitch McConnell and the GOP have done just that. They, the top 1 percent, and corporations, get massive tax cuts. Not so much for the middle class, and these tiny tax breaks will expire.

The increase in the deficit due to this tax scam means upcoming cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. Health insurance premiums will rise with the elimination of the individual mandate. Graduate students, most already in debt, will be burdened with much higher taxes.

It is almost as if the oligarchs — the GOP donors — have a different model in mind. Not an American model; it uncannily looks like the model for a proletariat.
