Foot the pension bill, lawmakers

The pension fund for fire, cops and teachers is how many billions in the hole? How?

Because elected officials who were more worried about re-election kicked the can down the road. Now, they are out of road, and guess who is going to pay? Not the ones responsible for this mess, but Joe Taxpayer.

Elected officials have their own adequately funded pensions. Tax them, and all who were elected over the last 25 years. They caused the mess, they should pay.
