Health care hike means no vote for Andy Barr

My wife owns a small family business in Lexington and we purchase health insurance on the individual market.

I have just received notice of our new rate effective Jan. 1, 2018. Our premiums have increased just under 24 percent.

Switching to a group plan would probably not help — the premiums for the small group plan at a nonprofit on whose board I serve are increasing 21 percent.

I want Rep. Andy Barr to know that I know most of this figure is due to the actions of him and the merry band of incompetent ideologues in his party, and that I will not forget it next November.
