Barr stood for Berea College

Thanks to Rep. Andy Barr for standing and voting for the exemption of work-study colleges like Berea College from an excise tax on large university endowments. This legislation passed the House, only to be stripped from the Tax Cut Jobs Act by Senate Democrats using procedural rules. Barr’s comments on the House floor regarding this legislation are greatly appreciated.
