Barr silent on Trump’s racism

U.S. Rep. Andy Barr
U.S. Rep. Andy Barr

Just before the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, the president of the United States used a profanity to express vile, racist views. His contrast between the white Norwegians he wants as immigrants and the Africans from “s---hole” countries he wants to exclude makes his racism obvious.

And what does Andy Barr say about all this? Total silence. Instead of acting as a moral authority and expressing, on behalf of the citizens of the 6th Congressional District, a rejection of the racist, hateful words of the president, Barr says nothing.

We need brave, independent leaders in Congress. With his silence, Barr has proven that’s clearly not him.
