Barr seeks solutions to opioid crisis

I, like many others, am deeply concerned about the impact opioids are having on our society. I am grateful we have a representative in Washington who is doing something to impact this crisis.

Just this year, Rep. Andy Barr voted for the Consolidated Appropriations Act which dedicated $4 billion to address the opioid epidemic.

This is the largest-ever federal investment dedicated to the fight against what has become a national public health emergency.

We all know someone affected by this issue and I am glad to see Barr is taking substantive steps to implement policies and reforms that attack the problem. He has also supported other legislation that has increased rehabilitation services and made long-term care more available.

Drug abuse and dependency have created a workforce problem many companies are finding extremely challenging to overcome. Barr has tackled this problem head-on.
