So Attorney General Andy Beshear says he will investigate the Martin County Water District. How bold. Going where no one has gone before — except a couple of hundred Frankfort bureaucrats.
A Herald-Leader article last month said that concerned Martin County citizens signed a letter asking for Beshear’s help. As if signing a letter will fix pipes. Of course, water district officials say they will cooperate. That has always been their story and they are sticking with it.
Frankfort cannot solve this problem. Citizens have to. I was born in Lexington, named after the site of the first battle of the American Revolution. Stop looking to politicians to solve your problems and start looking to yourselves. Be bold, Martin County.
