Restored courthouse a gem

My wife and I recently attended a wedding reception at Limestone Hall in the newly restored former Fayette County courthouse in downtown Lexington. It is a wonderful, beautiful facility.

Kudos to all who have been and are involved in this project. It is a tremendous asset to our community and region, and is a great example of the wisdom of restoration of significant buildings.

However, it is a shame that the adjacent Fifth Third Pavilion is not architecturally compatible with the surrounding buildings, but rather looks like a salt-storage shed.
