Fayette County School Superintendent Manny Caulk unveiled a $13.5 million plan to make Lexington schools safer.

Fayette County public schools superintendent Manny Caulk is smart enough to see the need for school safety and courageous enough to supersede the ignorance and lack of will of politicians and administrators to face facts.

If his school safety plan is implemented, it would be one of the best in the nation. If the parents of the county do not support this plan it shows they do not care about their kids’ lives. They need to show up and get vocal.

Leaders like Caulk and the people assisting him do not come along often and should be supported.
