Choose a qualified leader, tireless advocate

I have lived in the 12th District for 25 years. After living in Hartland, I moved to a small 18-acre farm. I know the diverse needs, from neighborhoods to the most rural areas.

Council unanimously voted to leave 22,000 rural 12th District residents out of the Metronet deal, even though there are horse farms that cannot hold a video-conference due to poor internet. Councilmember Kathy Plomin’s solution is to put Spectrum satellites on water tanks, which are scarce in the 12th.

In this instance and many others, she failed to represent the entire district.

I have real solutions. I am endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police for my dedication to public safety and by The People’s Campaign for my commitment to promoting diversity on LFUCG boards and commissions.

My opponent voted to spend up to $300,000 annually on public art, despite the fact that the 2018-2019 budget does not include money to hire an additional 30 police officers needed to start a fourth sector. While art is nice, our public safety is more important. I will work to cut spending where possible and, most importantly, prioritize budgetary items.

My years of practicing law have taught me to negotiate, think independently and weigh all facets of an issue. The fact that my opponent is older than me does not translate into experience or leadership. The 12th District deserves an authentic, qualified leader and I am ready to roll up my sleeves and tirelessly advocate for my constituents.
