Beshear’s ego showing

Steve Beshear had eight years as governor, and his Democratic predecessors ruled Kentucky for all but 12 years since 1944. But that is not enough.

Beshear has started a tax-exempt organization in an attempt to continue to wield power and thwart the efforts of Republican Gov. Matt Bevin. According to the Herald-Leader, Beshear wants to “educate voters” about Bevin’s plans for health insurance. It seems the voters who elected Bevin by a large margin based on his campaign promises need Beshear to educate them.

Ironically, the Democrats have blocked laws that would require women considering an abortion to “undergo an ultrasound with a doctor describing the image to them.” Do you think Beshear will use his tax-exempt organization to support such a bill to educate mothers?

Beshear’s son was elected attorney general. You can bet that he will do all in his power to thwart Bevin’s initiatives. So will the elected Democrats and the Democrats who dominate the Frankfort bureaucracies. But that is not enough for the former governor. Steve, your ego is showing.
