Queries for right-to-work supporters
You may or may not agree with union workers, like me, that so called right-to-work laws are just crooked politics. Either way, here’s a good question to ask anyone who opposes agency fees: Do you support collective bargaining rights for members-only bargaining units? Those who oppose that, too, are simply opposed to labor unions in all forms.
Let’s put it another way. Ask this question of those who say the rights of individual workers are the most important thing: Do you support the rights of individual workers to choose a members-only bargaining unit to represent them? Those who oppose this are being hypocritical about individual rights, to say the least.
Let’s not take any wooden nickels in Kentucky. Everyone knows these laws are purposely misnamed.
