Prayer event about unity

Gov. Matt Bevin held a prayer breakfast last week despite threats from and intimidation by Annie Gaylor, co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation based in Madison, Wis.

My best advice to her is to repent and turn. A critical judgment is about to come down on America. An almighty and all-knowing God is prepared to pour out his wrath on the non-religious citizens of Kentucky — that’s 400,000 people according to a 2008 study.

Our governor is not misusing his power, because it is an almighty God who has bestowed on him the power to overcome tragedy that has been destroying our great state and nation for too long. Kentucky’s motto is “United we stand, divided we fall.” Those on God’s side are standing united so as not to fall divided.
