Take back Kentucky
Having lived in Kentucky off and on since 1933, I was amazed to wake up one morning and find that my state was being run by three carpetbaggers: Sens. Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul and Gov. Matt Bevin. That in itself is an abomination and a crime against the whole state. I say that because who best knows what is best for Kentucky than a Kentuckian?
McConnell has accused President Barack Obama of trying to take out the coal industry when, in truth, the environment is taking out coal. And if that be factual, why hasn’t he gotten jobs for the Appalachian and Western Kentucky coalfields? He has had time enough to make himself rich.
Paul came to Kentucky with the intention of running for president. There has been no concerted effort by him to bring meaningful jobs to Kentucky. The rest of the country cast him aside, and so should we in our next election.
Bevin, the worst of the lot, has the unmitigated gall and heartlessness to let people with preconditions of illness die. It is one of the most inhumane acts I have seen in my 83 years.
Talk about taking our country back, how about taking our state back?
