Lawmaker unfair to cast blame

When I read Rep. Jim Wayne’s harsh comments to Health and Family Services Secretary Vickie Yates Brown Glisson during the House’s human services budget subcommittee meeting, I was immediately reminded of this quote by Canadian author Douglas Coupland: “Blame is just a lazy person’s way of making sense of chaos.”

The Medicaid system, the Kynect system and the software used for those programs are in a state of chaos.

Glisson has held her position for two months, while Wayne has been in office for 312 months. His experience is 25 years and 10 months greater than hers, and he wants to blame her?

This chaos occurred during Wayne’s and the previous administration’s tenure. Wayne should quit being lazy by blaming her because he and other leaders ignored the fact that the emperor was, indeed, running around buck-naked.
