To the vision for CentrePointe outlined in a March 8 letter, I would add a possibility that includes commercial value.

The center of that vast space would be mostly grass and trees interspersed with patio areas for benches and tables, a pavilion for dance and performance and a splash pad for small children. The perimeters would house buildings for offices, stores and apartments opening to the interior space as well as the sidewalks.

The hole could be developed for parking and an underground shopping area — a commercial asset.

This “Lexington Green” would honor the historical town green.
