Wrong site for stockyards

The Bluegrass Stockyards should not be allowed to build next to the aquifer and contaminate Georgetown’s source for drinking water. The owners should rebuild somewhere else. I opposed the move once before, and I rise to oppose it again.

Georgetown’s water supply needs to be protected. The city council and the city and Scott County Fiscal Court need to issue joint decrees to oppose it.

I don’t want Georgetown to end up like Flint, Mich., with water so contaminated you can’t use it to drink, cook, wash clothes or bathe.
