Don’t bypass voters

Former House Speaker John Boehner wants the GOP to make his successor, Paul Ryan, its nominee for president. Ryan has zero delegates and spent zero dollars on a campaign.

John Kasich, the spoiler who has no chance to win the necessary delegates to get to the 1,237, will not drop out of the race. So he won Ohio, where he is governor. Big deal. This is the perfect reason for those who have not had a primary election in their state to refrain from any vote for Kasich.

Donald Trump or Ted Cruz must get to the number required to win the nomination outright so the GOP establishment cannot put their handpicked candidate in place to run against Hillary Clinton. The party would explode and die quickly if they bypass the voters. How can the Republican Party claim to be for the people if it ignores what the people vote for?

It is time for the corruption to end; otherwise, our democratic republic is no more.
