Thanks to UK hospital staff
I had to go to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital emergency room a few weeks ago, and the doctors and nurses there were overwhelmed with various emergencies all night. Even with all the hustling and bustling from room to room to tend to everyone, the staff treated me as if I were the only one there. They were all kind and attentive.
After having an MRI, I was admitted to the hospital in a seventh-floor tower room. Again, the staff was kind and attentive to all my needs. They always wore a smile and treated me as if I were their only patient. I knew I wasn’t because I asked, and each nurse was responsible for five patients at the time. Before leaving my room, they would always ask if there was anything I needed.
There were sirens screaming all the time as more patients were brought in. It takes a special person to be a doctor or nurse, and UK has a lot of these special people.
I thank all of them for the wonderful care they gave me in the ER, during surgery and in my room.
