Vote Young for change
Democrat Geoff Young of Lexington is making a bid for Congress and he’s putting the most important issues at the forefront of his campaign, issues that we as a city, state and nation must get behind if we are to realize the changes that must take place for conditions to improve.
As a lifelong anti-war activist, Young is dedicated to ending U.S. involvement with the very organizations that end up being our worst enemies. While other candidates support the continued funding of the American war machine and business as usual abroad, Young wants to redirect our aggressiveness into more effective and broad-reaching peace-making strategies.
Further, Young supports redirecting excessive military spending into programs that will help improve American infrastructure, education and health care. These are measures that will help continue the reduction of the national deficit.
We are tired of business as usual, at both the state and national levels. It’s time to make the changes that need to be made and that means we need to stand behind Young by voting for him May 17.
