Bevin’s sarcasm
Thanks to Channel 18’s Lee Cruse, early rising taxpayers were allowed to see Gov. Matt Bevin at his condescending best.
Bevin’s spoof on the “gravy train” was not only sophomoric, but also proved once again his complete and total dismissal of the plight of impoverished Kentuckians. He is totally clueless about the day-to-day survival of these families, and his sarcasm was nothing short of demeaning to those receiving aid from state and federal programs.
The next time Bevin decides to disgrace the governor’s office by spoofing an iconic label such as Gravy Train, he should read the packaging in full: Not fit for human consumption.
Better yet, he should try the old TV game show To Tell the Truth, releasing his tax returns as promised during his campaign.
Perhaps this is just an audition tape for a post in a President Trump cabinet. Both have made clear their total disregard for anyone not in their tax brackets.
Being poor doesn’t make you a societal leech.
